Hey gang. Lots and lots of exciting news to share. Since we last spoke, I've been selected as a finalist for a local radio station's
singer songwriter competition. It's called Project M on 105.5FM in Madison.
The judges present contestants with a songwriting challenge, and we have to write a song based on what they tell us. Every Wednesday that
I remain in the competition, videos will be posted of the songs I write. You can vote once per day, per computer at your disposal. The
competion has been great so far. Check out that latest challenge and please remember to vote.
I'm also playing in a new band called The Campaign. We've got a show coming
in Madison this weekend on 5/8, so check out the info to the left.
This website needs a facelift, don't you think? I'm getting on that too.

Another year, another year. I've got some shows coming in possibly in your neck of the woods. Come on out Madison, come on out Green Bay.
Danny Wedel and I have been playing together. This is a new thing for 2010. It's great to be singing alongside someone else too.
If you're into Facebook, I've got a new fan page up, and you may want to consider joining up. I hear it's all the rage Paul Mitch on Facebook.
I've got some new songs popping out, and I'll get those recorded and up on the web too. Posting photos, and all sorts too.

Holy Crap it's rOctober already. Where did '09 go? So here's the skinny lately... Every Thursday night, I host open mic at jacs on Monroe in Madison.
Great folks there, and it's a really high quality get together. I host with the Wedel brothers from Aisle 9.
I'm working on setting up some shows for November and December, just in time to freeze your ass off while you head into a nice warm bar to listen to some tunes! I'll keep y'all posted on that.
My good friend Dave Tamkin has put together a site for my fellow musicians all about the business, and practice of music, and being a musician.
There are all sorts of folks putting a bunch of information together for the masses looking to bust out in the music biz. I wrote a couple of articles you should check out if you're at
all interested in how this stuff works. Head on over to Head Above Music to check them out. You'll also see an article or two from another good
friend of mine Kurt Gunn.
Stay tuned...

I'm looking forward to my next couple of shows up in Green Bay.
For the show at Jimmy Seas on 7.31, I'll
be joined by my good friend Jason Vinluan.
Jason's a great guy and a great violinist. He lives in Chicago and plays with my former band Trippin Billies.
as well as Dave Tamkin who also frequents Green Bay from time to time.

Thanks to everyone that came out on the 17th. There was a great turnout, and good times were had by all.
The evening began at the Frequency, and ended in my living room with the greatest donuts in history
care of the good folks at Greenbush Bakery.
New shows are getting scheduled, so check back often.
.:. ___ 4.17.09___ .:.
Don't miss 'Paul Mitch - Live at the The Frequency' tonight!
It's a short set from 6 to 7, then Ian & The Dream take over.
I'll be playing some new material, and rocking it solo!
Check out my pages at SonicBids, Facebook, Reverb Nation, and MySpace
(but Burt likes to call that stuff 'MyFace.')
.:. ___ 3.24.09___ .:.
I've been working on several new songs, and the recordings are in the works.
I should be able to get "The Pretender" up later this evening.
I have created some new promo materials at Sonicbids and Reverb Nation.
These pages should be getting updates over the next several days as well.
As always, check out Myspace for frequent updates and my blog.
